Easy Peasy Guilt Free Chocolate Truffles
Rich, creamy, and enhanced with the cool taste of peppermint essential oil, this is hands down one of the easiest and decadent truffle recipes you will ever find! Simple, yet sophisticated, truffles are the perfect party popper, holiday handcrafted gift, and timeless sweet treat with endless flavor possibilities.
Although the thought of making chocolate truffles from scratch may sound daunting, this recipes is extremely basic and calls for only 5 ingredients! As always, I encourage you to explore your own passion for essential oils and experiment! Instead of peppermint, perhaps use orange, cinnamon, or even lime!
Ingredients
1 Cup Almonds
1 Cup Pitted Dates
½ Cup Cocoa Powder
3 Tbsp Agave
3 Drops Young Living Peppermint Essential oil
To start, grind your almonds into a fine powder, the finer your almonds, the smother your truffle. I actually enjoy a little crunch, so I do not grind my almonds as much. Next, add your dates and again process your mix. Add your cocoa powder, agave, and essential oil. Form your mix into a ball and chill for an hour.
Once chilled, form tablespoon size balls and roll into cocoa. Again, feel free to experiment with your truffle coating. You can exchange your cocoa for coconut shavings, crushed nuts, sprinkles, and more. Store your truffles in an airtight container and keep in a cool dry place for up to one week. Enjoy!
